i am not an expert to tell you how to use technology. what i want to do with you is to show you what i have done that has been successful for me to get vandals arrested. and what we did is pretty good. we use a couple things. anybody ever heard of graffiti tracker? you haven't? awesome program, right. if you guys don't have graffiti tracker yet, we're going to talk about graffiti tracker. that's one of the biggest things i use. when i first came to this detail, i was a body hate crimes school violence detector when i first came to this detail. next thing they said, budget cuts. they got rid of school violence for some reason and then gave me graffiti. i was like, ah, hell no, graffiti? joins us live at the ferry building in san francisco with what we might learn today. good morning, bob. >> reporter: in a few hours the marin county sheriff's office is supposed to release the name of the person that was killed and the other one injured when their pleasure craft crashed into the ferry. next week the coast guard will release their findings. it happened around 4:00 saturday afternoon. 22-foot boat reportedly speeding when it collided with one of the golden gate ferries. the crash happening in a waterway near angel island. two people on that boat were flown to the hospital. one died yesterday. the other is still recovering from their injuries and you should see in the video that the front of the pleasure craft including its windshield was heavily damaged but the boat was still afloat and did not sink. none of the 500 people onboard the ferry were hurt and the ferry's five crew members have been drug tested and placed on administrative leave pending results of those tests which is standard procedure when you have an accident like this. bob redell, "today in the bay." >>> a

road. abc7 news reporter lilian kim shows us what happened. >> crews pulled this silver corvette up a steep hill. it crashed 150 feet down the embankment after the driver of the car lost control while going up the mountain. this is where the car went off the cliff about a mile east of clayton road. we spoke to one witness who saw the whole thing unfold. >> as i was returning home from a hike i saw the car seemingly over steering and quickly went over the edge and down the ravine. >> the passenger got out of the car on his own and called 9-1-1. the san jose fire department said he suffered minor to moderate injuries, but the driver was ped tray. was trapped. they used ropes and pulleys to bring him back up the hill. about 25 emergency personnel took part in the effort which took more than two hours. >> it took personnel and hauling and strength pulling him up. he is using pulley systems, but we have to climb up a steep em bankment. steep embankment. >> a helicopter was waiting to transport the driver to the hospital. he is said to have suffered significant injury. chp officers are in

tonight, where a man is barricaded inside a building. police tell us, the man is holed up at a house at addson, and jefferson about five blocks from the usc campus. our crews spotted a s.w.a.t. team there. this all started about 7:00 tonight. police say they have reports of shots fired from a car at two different locations. no one was hit. officers traced the license plate to the registered owner, and now police negotiators are trying to talk to a man. >> reporter: sonoma county sheriff investigators are releasing photos of a man who linked to the triple homicide. this picture of a ford ranger pickup truck, that the men may have been driving. earlier this month, three people were found shot to death in the bedroom of this home in forestville. investigators say it was a marijuana deal that went bad. a colorado man has already been arrested, and authorities now say they also want to talk to those other two men. >>> a man wanted by police in san leandro was captured in hayward. he was wanted for getting into a fight with a police officer last week. he got away then, but was found today.
